Title: FD - Seat belt - known defect?
Post by: luckyNot on January 25, 2016, 04:16:42 PM
Hi,

my drivers seat belt is not locking out when it should i.e. it is faulty . I seem to recall someone once telling me that there was a known manufacturing fault and that Mazda is obliged to fix FoC, can anyone confirm this? If this was true I thought there would be a sticky on it, but I cannot find one so perhaps not true?

And if so, can anyone recommend a Mazda dealership in Berkshire that can do the work?

Thanks

FDs were last manufactured in 2002.
Any problem that emerges after 15+ years would be called "wear and tear" I guess, not a manufacturing fault.
Good luck with Mazda fixing it, but don't hold your breath.

The only dealer I know is Eden in Basingstoke ( formerly Alan Gibson) RG24 7JD but I have never used them.

RX-7s need a specialist garage not a main dealer in my opinion.
