Title: Refit existing rear windscreen - danger??
Post by: luckyNot on January 25, 2016, 03:53:38 PM
Hi,

I have read a few threads on the forum about people fitting their rear windscreen - I found no horror stories. My rear windscreen is fine, but the seals have shrunk and it now leaks. So I was going to call some windscreen fitter in Berkshire to refit it but a mechanic I spoke to said windscreens sometimes shatter when you remove them and that this is not covered under fitter insurance. Has anyone ever heard of this happening with an FD?

Thanks

id ring 1 of the big windscreen suppliers and ask them....i just used mobile windscreens for a new 1 for my fd and very professional service...these guys are doing this day in day out so id think you be really unlucky if he did break it..
