Title: Sunroof panel
Post by: sim on January 13, 2016, 07:58:10 PM
Hi guys I was wondering if the sunroof panel from an Fb or fd will fit an FC as I'm really struggling to find a replacement for my heavily rusted
One.
I could buy brand new from Mazda but they are exspensive and don't really fancy it.

Sadly I think the answer is no.  I secured one some years back from Tim at RX Motors.   I'm just wondering if I

I hit post before I was ready and for some reason could not edit after posting.

Anyway what I was trying to say is that I'm just wondering if I have a spare sunroof panel in the garage.  I'm currently away but when I get home I'll take a look.

Well I have done some searching and found a guy had test fitted a sunroof from an mx3
So I have found one of those with no rust for £50 posted. Which will be a result of it fits nice.
At £50 it's worth a punt. Might help a few people along the way also.

Just wondering if the MX3 sunroof panel was a good fit?

All is well so far, it's the same shape and fits in the hole I'm yet to fit it to the mechanism but the studs on both sunroofs line up. The only thing that could be an issue is the hight when the mechanism is in the car and the panel on the mechanism.
But time will tell.
