I have bought show tickets for two. Will send payment regarding track slots to the club account soon.
I´m a bit confused. What ticket I should get then?
Any info about Hotel you guys are going to get?
Hotels at Milton Keynes are going fast... I thing I have to book fast if I want to get room in that area. This seems nice though: Premier Inn Milton Keynes East Willen Lake Hotel. Or that one in city central...
Btw, are you shops and shopping centers open on sundays? :)
I've booked the Premier Inn at Silverstone :)
A bit premature I know, but rooms may go quickly.
Car is in bits again, read you have to book the tickets on their website and not through the usual club stuff.
There is supposed to be a big rotary celebration too !
Shaun
Booked Tickets, and Hotel Silverstone Premier Inn
I cant get room booked from usual hotel booking sites. All full I think. Went to hotels own booking site but thats confusing a bit...
One site said that 47% of that areas hotels are booked allready...
But I think I got hotel booked to us. Silverstone Premier Inn, saturday to monday :P
Now I have to figure out what event ticket to get...
Btw, seems like wifey and daughter arent coming to sundays event, they are staying in hotel. So, can I get ride for someone to event and back?
ill be driving there and back on same day. wifey coming atmo. If you can contort yourself into the back of an fd ill pick you up from Hotel...ill be early though! Ill do my usual, arrive early leave early prob 3pm ish avoiding Q's!

Thanks mate. :) Long long LONG time ago, I did manage to sit on FB´s "rear seat", few times very drunk even. Unfortunatly, nowadays I´m fat :D
Flights, car and hotels booked! :wee_hee:
2 nights at Salisbury area, 2 nights at Bath area and 2 nights at Silverstone area...
Dammit, that is expensive though, about 600£... Car was about 150£ and flights about 350£...
There goes my car build moneys again I quess :D
Now, I still have to book ticket to event...
No worries where going on track as well! Never driven silverstone will follow someone for a lap or 2 then unleash rotor fury!
If you find that stomach to much to squeeze in an FD japi, will have a seat also if you want :D
Thanks Clarky :)
For some reason I cant book ticket from Japfest site. Really weird. At first everything is ok, and site sends me to my banks page to verify. Then when verify is done and ok, I return to Japfest page, it informs that transaction was declined by my bank...
All Booked :-)
Welcome to MRC :welcome:
Many thanks to booking your ticket for Japfest. Look forward to seeing your FD & RX-8? on the club stand.
its going to be the rx8 as have no love for the rx7
Hi Lisa
Have booked a ticket and a vehicle pass. It's been a couple of years since I joined you all on the stand at Castle Combe so I thought it was time for another outing in the V8 RX7 - with apologies to all the rotary purists!
Have the organisers said anything to you about tickets per person? Their website implies one ticket needed per head, but the booking Ts & Cs say this... "44. The car pass acts as an entry ticket for a maximum of 4 people within that vehicle. The car pass is for the vehicle and is non transferable."
I'm wondering about just printing out the Ts & Cs and arguing the case on the day!
See you all there.
Conway
Would it be possible to book a stand for the new drag car please.
Its all change this year with moving to Silverstone...the details are at begining of post...stand passes bought with ticket. Are you bringing another parachute? I hope so.
Another drag car? Wow, cant wait to see it!!! :)

Hi Marek - it would be ideal if you booked a place on the MRC stand (booking details just above) as you will be able to meet and discuss your issues face-to-face with loads of other rotary owners on the day.
PLUS, in case people have missed this point (mentioned briefly above), Mazda are planning some sort of celebration of the FD at Japfest this year, as it's the car's 25th anniversary. A parade on the track is likely, plus I think all rotary club stands will be grouped together in the same area. So, if you have an FD even more reason to come along and be part of whatever celebration Mazda are planning :)
Of course, all Mazda rotary models are welcome on the MRC stand, as always 8)
2016 minus 1992 first rx7 date equals 24 years ....arent these 25 year celebrations a bit premature lol...mines only 23 yrs old being a 93....oh my good god i nearly own a classic car. Hangon got a 93 k and 94 l and 94 q reg...off to birch whip myself!
Most "history" websites state FD production started in 1991, so I'm guessing this is the reason?
Ok then just seems strange as i bet there wont be 1 H reg FD3S at Japfest lol! :))
Booked in. First time for me!

JAPFEST TRACK TIME
UPDATE: More spaces have become available!
For those coming to Japfest there are still places available if you want to take your car on track :)
The RX8OC have THREE track sessions booked which are for club members. MRC members are also most welcome to join in any, or all of these sessions. Price is £30 per session, discounted for the Japfest public price of £35.
At this special Japfest, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of the RX-7 FD, why not take a session (~15 minutes) or two out on track with your rotary, whether Old Skool, RX-7 or RX-8, and share our passion in front of the huge crowds that will be attending Silverstone this year.
Tickets can be purchased via the RX8OC shop:
http://shop.rx8oc.co.uk/
Please post up on here if you purchase track session tickets so we can keep tabs and liaise with the RX8OC team.

The shopping centre in Milton Keynes is most certainly open on Sundays - lots of nice shops. :)

Hoping it will improve for next weekend.
What a...? :) yes, hopefully so :D

I should point out that snow this time of year is very unusual.
Hopefully it will be dry next weekend - but probably a bit cold, around 10 degrees.

When its snowing in Uk, its not really a snowing ;) Yes, I understand its unusual... :)
I dont mind if its cold, hopefully doesent rain. I´m not expecting spring weather in UK to be mediterrain beach weather :)
We had gorgeous weather for JapFest last year - and it's sunny today so you can never tell.
But bikinis will not be required!
