Time to say bye to the RX7, growing family requires an estate of sorts. The WIP was leading towards high flow twins or single turbo, for track use or maybe hill climbing. Neither ever been seen.
It's currently running at 322BHP (mapped by WGT in Oct '14) at the flywheel on a good working set of standard twins.
The car is used daily to trundle to the train station and the occasional blip on a weekend. I love driving it and it never fails to please. If I had more time I’d finish it off first but life is passing me by.
It’s had a spell in dry storage when I last moved house for a couple of years and then it was brought out of retirement last October.
Happy to take any question and update the post if I’ve missed key information that other would find helpful.
I’d rather sell everything below in one go, mainly to save me the hassle but also because it would finish off the car.
1992, Manual, Type X (twin oil coolers) Electric Sunroof, Cruise Control & all Standard Type R features. I am the 3rd registered owner since the car was imported by the fist in in 2004. Always maintained and serviced regularly. MOT until October 2015. Registered as 1308cc.
1400 miles since last service and tune and WGT, masses of receipts.

Bonus Stuff
Fully rebuilt engine with 3mm tips. Currently covered estimated 25,000, this was done by the first owner who ran up 19,000 miles, the second owner used it to travel to work locally. I didn’t cover many miles (maybe 1k) before swapping it out the street ported engine.
Apexi Power FC ECU, Mapped by Re:Works for the engine above. No commander and the port was not responding when last used, believed to be correctable, FDUKers have offered in the past to assist, I just didn't get round to it.
Mazda Speed A-Spec Bumper. Removed as it had crack mid-lower and parking at work was impossible, requires attention.
Stainless Steel exhaust, unknown brand sounds awesome, removed due to early morning starts and unappreciative family and neighbours (4am not good)
Brand new and unopened full set of uprated pillow bushings and dust caps
Brand new unopened Koyo N-Flow Rad + cap (£340)
Brand new unopened Apexi Replacement Filter x2 (£110)
Brand new unopened HKS Turbo Timer and Harness (£115)
Brand new unopened pack of 4 BUR9EQ
Battery holder for boot
Standard rear spoiler
Standard miscellaneous parts surplus to requirement
It has jobs to be done which are, replace 1 pillow bushing (full set bought, might as well do the lot).
Tidy up slam panel rust and light surround or replace with a DM Motor sport slam panel was my intention (see pictures) It’s where the water runs down the bonnet, very annoying, the rest of the car is spot on for a car over 2 decades old.
Tidy up wiper arms
fix loose cruise control button.
Looking for £8,000 ono for the lot
Got my car up in a number places but got no comments on it
Anyone got a feeling on if this is over priced for what I thought was very reasonable considering.
I've taken it to it a body shop to get quote for sorting the front end out.
If I get chance, I could fit the rad and get the pillow balls done or should I just sell the "stuff" separate and lower the price of the car.
Getting silly quotes for insuring the car with 500 mile limit, just so I can finish it off. Shame there isn't a hybrid laid up policy where I can drive it up the road.
Any comments appreciated
Thanks
Just looked at the VIN at the paint code is PZ
Hi mate car is stunnning with all the right upgrades.
What i would say is ad is complicated with the spare engine and boxes of parts.
Prob best to sell engine seperate and car as is. Lower price means more people.
Hi,
thanks for the response, I'll have a re-think
Cheers
