Hey guys,
Had a small accident when porting my center iron, involving a dog jumping at my leg and my grinding stone
going rogue. This was the outcome

Any tips on removing this scratch without damaging the nitride coating? It's not very deep, a corner seal seems to slide over ok, but
I can ever so slightly feel it, any tips on sanding it (along with the whole face) without getting lapped?
Thanks.
Looking at it I would have said just use a scotch Brite pad to just nib off and sharp edges.
If you wet and dry it you risk a dip in the iron, not sure others will agree but this is how I would approach this hiccup
Hope this helps
Btw decent looking port
Thanks Clive
I was thinking that also, think I'm might hit the whole face with a pad and see what happens. I'm
Hoping it's not bad enough to catch something....will be an expensive lesson otherwise.
Thank you, it was done using the pineapple racing template. Great quality plates and a lovely bunch of guys to deal with.
Just need to tidy the port chamfer the edges and polish the rest.
Wish me luck....(rips open a pack of scotchbrite).
