Title: Twin turbo boost issues
Post by: hamishrx7 on January 23, 2015, 06:11:26 PM
Hi guys. New to this club. Had my 94 rx7 for 6 years, just had a rebuild and respray and new twins at mx5 motors in doncaster. Just ran the engine in and im having some issues with boost on the second turbo. I get a solid 6-7 psi all the way from 4500rpm-red line. First turbo boosts as should. Any suggestions? Thanks

First up, welcome to MRC  :welcome:

First place to check is the plastic vacuum tank box that's in the middle of the engine just over the back of the strut brace.

You will find a couple little pipes, if one of these has come  off it won't shift onto the second turbo

hope this helps

Had a look round this weekend and everything looks good. Also pressure tank is holding good. Was thinkin maybe it could be the airbypass valve as im getting 6psi on both sometimes or the turbo control double solonoid valve?
