I really need to get a quieter exhaust for the 7. I'm currently running with a Blitz nur spec which I know is loud but since i've gone single with a 3" straight through setup it's just too loud to drive around all the time. I keep getting pulled and the droning is annoying. I was wondering what other alternatives there are out there that will be quiet without compromising flow. I know I could get a silenced mid section but I can't justify spending nearly £300 on something like a 5dB drop in noise. I'm looking for something that offers good flow for around 500hp. Is there anything out there that quieter than the Nurspec?

When i was looking for a quieter exhaust i got pointed in the direction of a JASMA rated one japanese standard of noise. I found 1 on ebay 2nd hand and it got me on track so quiet enough.
You may be lucky and find a good second hand exhaust on the various forums, but factor in that the silencers may be less effective depending on age.
I ran a 3 1/2" Trust with centre silencer and large rear silencer which was just quiet enough for track days (ran 540 bhp). But all changed when I changed the turbo and down pipe to 4" with the same Trust set up. Noise went up by about 10 - 15 dba.
I contacted Craig at TGS Stockport and he hand made a new 3 1/2" with mid silencer and repackable rear silencer. Now records 95 - 98 dba.
