Title: The Return
Post by: kiwimazda on December 09, 2014, 07:28:51 AM
Today I have collected the white caged shell from Carl.
All I can say at the moment is that i have no idea what spec it will run in.
The first job is to get the body kit off and see what the panel work is like underneath. I must add that the body kit will not be going back on.
From here we will repair as required and also remove any unwanted brackets, brake lines etc etc before being painted.
From this point it may well sit covered up for some time

Brian

It's been quite cool digging out all the old photos and records I had on the red car.
Ive worked out a rough spec of what i will do when the time comes

So much for not doing anything for a bit. Should start welding over Xmas break. Also will be getting the other car readyfor a rrally on the 18th so a bit of juggling to be done.
already looking to get some parts sorted soon. But the decision I have to make before painting is adjustable coilover up front and keep the original steering (never had a pproblem with it) or put in a fc front end giving better brakes, suspension and a rack

For some reason I dont trust FB´s steeringbox :) But brake upgrade for bigger ones would be good. Also its easier to find parts for FC.
