Title: Red button steering column
Post by: Arnie_O on November 30, 2014, 02:09:45 PM
Bit of a random one.
There is a small square red button on the side of the steering column.
I can't find what it does.
I am told its OEM
And clue would be great.

Lol you lot!

I think it was for the original alarm system. Something to dissable the alarm if you left a dog inside or something that would set the alarm off whilst you were away.

I agree with Ade, that's what I think but I have owned three Gen 2's and none of these buttons ever worked  :o

Is it the seat massager button that gives you a "happy ending"?

i was told  it was a panic button when i bought my fc & it set the alarm off when pressed!    ps.    i have now rewired it to operate the rear wiper  as the original button doesn`t  work which is quite common as the relay fails!
