so got to grips with cutting out the front end slam panel today, need to make some brackets for the new panel to fit in, and you do not have to take the wings off.
but you do need a spot weld drill bit as there are over 50 spot welds to drill out:
(http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r616/exiledviking1/BODY%20KIT/IMG_2251.jpg) front end needs a good dig out clean and repaint
(http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r616/exiledviking1/BODY%20KIT/IMG_2246.jpg) whats left of the slam panel
(http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r616/exiledviking1/BODY%20KIT/IMG_2242.jpg) the damage from the accident was a little worse than i thought
So today replace the front Slam panel and its bits, flushed out the intercoolers for the supercharger, new S/C water pump replaced, coolant for supercharger replaced. lined up the wing panels ready for front light fitting next week.

looking good! Fancy repairing mine!?
glad to help you when i get finished :rollin:rollin:rollin
Whilst rebuilding the front slam panel before putting the lights back in i give them a bit of a polish
(http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r616/exiledviking1/under%20tray%20and%20lights/front%20lights/IMG_2354_zps871e3d34.jpg)

So Not replacing the lower plastic engine bay protection tray its way to flimsy, so set to making my own about half way it needs to be firm to mount two small air ducts and there fan intake motor,s and the hideaway number plate this will be sprayed mat black when done, the front vents when mounted will be removable to gain access to fog and driving lamps.
its along way from being finished and the vents are only on for show i have not decided yet on the end location
been a hard at it today

Good to see it\'s getting there and will be better than ever, well done:driving
Thanks live Amanda\'s limited me to one day a week, you know why? but last night she was cut up from coming home from work some 80 year old in a vintage merc hit the off side of her car and the front bumper so both cars off the road now.
Argggggggggg, Tony you need to get those damn magnets off your cars :(
Pleased to hear though that it sounds like Amanda\'s OK
Amanda is ok bit of a shock going through the insurance i trying to get her to sell it now and buy the up dated scirocco R with updated engine package 0-60 5.5 sec:rollin:rollin:rollin her words you buying it for me then yes i said ok i will think about it then. but i want my polo fixed first. i get £7.5k trade in so its a good deal.
front bumper now done aluminium scuff plates made to protect the under side of the bumper made them into Canards and will have them dipped in a carbon fibre effect all holes drilled for cameras, speed detectors, water jets for the head lights, and side vents finished these also will be carbon fibre dipped the centre half plate is to accommodate the hideaway number plate.
I decided to put the scuff/canards/plates on as the car is low and we have some rather large speed bumps where we live and to strengthen the lower part of the bumper.

First of all i must apologise to all club members that the removal of some or all of my photos have been deleted this was not intentional but i have amalgamated my three photo bucket accounts this has effected the forums on all club sites and has deleted the photos from all clubs. sorry again.
I will post some photos back up on this thread and on my engine build thread if any member would like to see more then i am now running most of the new build on Facebook
I am in no way not supportive of this club and this act was not to become as was said in another club to be a Troll. And would never bring the club into disrepute.
Any way i am only a member of MRC now and will give 100% to the club and its members sorry if this has inconvenienced any member.
The Reasons for not being around this year is the car has been off the road, due to an accident , i know that this dose not stop me attending the clubs functions but i also have been battling a very aggressive bout of cancer, with all this happening it might seem that i have been unintentionally off with some people/members and theres no excuse for this so if your one of these i am sorry.
I hope to be around next year to a few shows i do not want to talk much about the above just to say those already in the know is to say thank you for your support and thank you to clive and Lisa for helping me out .
I am not going to post up lots of photos
here what it looks like at the moment

Thank guys booked 10 days in a pub in ware so I can help with all the new kit going in on the 5 jan at bespoke performance then on to getting the new engine mapped
Cools good stuff...whats happening with the engine and why? still supercharged i hope?
Yes mate keeping it supercharged this engine has done 25000.00 and still ok but i would like a supercharged street ported 8 i have got lots of bits to fit so may as well pop the old engine out do all the ancillaries 10 mods in the engine bay, HO no new thread coming Me thinks then pop a new modified 8 engine in, then my old one can be street ported as well I put it on the shelf for the future ;) ;D
yep new thread lots of piccy! ;D
well the front-end now 3M clear paint protection film on another job ticked off 5 jan now to sort out the engine and other parts but i am going to have to lift the car by 10 -15 mm as its only 35mm of the deck i think it needs to be about 50mm :iroc:
