Hi. I\'m having pip look at a car for me in the next week. The car is an rx7 fd3s 1993. Done 40,000 miles (no rebuild) but not been drove for about 18 months but has been started now and again. It\'s got a Xs power intercooler. Twin core radiator, hks filters, full decat exhaust, apexi ecu with hand held fc commander. But it hasn\'t been mapped. So my question is, if pip gives me the nod to say the engine is ok, is there anything I can do to keep it as safe as possible before it gets mapped? Like having it on wastgate pressure etc? Just untill it\'s get mapped. Cheers

New plugs, new oil, new oil filter. Top up fluids.

Ye I\'m gonna do that. But I mean to stop boost spikes etc as it\'s not mapped for the mods.

I\'m no expert, but I would have thought it best to keep it off boost until mapped.

Pip will be able to advise you on whats what bud. But as above, keep off the boost if your unsure.

Or even just ask Pip how much it\'ll be to map it. Try and get that amount knocked off the price of the car.

How would I run it on waste gate pressure?
