Mazda Nationals Sunday, June 1, 2014
I am pleased to announce that Mazdarotaryclub will host an event at The world famous Brooklands Museum which is the home of Motor Racing this year and ALL Mazda vehicles are invited to attend
The venue will provide an excellent place to celebrate all things Mazda and meet like minded people who share a passion for Mazda\'s
This event will be very much an arrive and park event and the mix of Mazda will prove interesting as you may find your RX-8 or RX-7 sitting alongside a MX-5, Mazda 6, a CX, or even a Mazda B-Series pickup truck :D,
If you are reading this and are part of other Mazda Clubs or forums please extend this invitation to them as well as this is very much a MAZDA DAY OUT for all :Thumbs-up
More details can be found below
http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events/details/mazda-nationals/
or contact events@brooklandsmuseum.com 01932 857381
Any interest in this event:confused:
I will start the List:
1.Clarky
Well just me and you then, as the tumbleweed rolls through on this deserted thread, why do we bother :Hammer
Strange not more interest, as it is now open to all Mazda\'s, with so many Models, this could be a hugely interesting Event, who knows what could turn up, it could turn out to be a great yearly Show for Mazda\'s, maybe word has not got round yet, will have a look round other Forums and post up some details.
I think the thread is probably a bit early - I make it about eight weeks
Just wait for the weather to pick up a bit, then thoughts of cars in June will bring ppl out
You should know we\'ll be there, even my first time without a rotary.......
Have to come up with a new avatar

Hi All,
Yes I know this is a while away but I am also wishing that you guys will not only come along but also help promote this event as mentioned above (and below) as I know people who read this are on multiple clubs.
"If you are reading this and are part of other Mazda Clubs or forums please extend this invitation to them as well as this is very much a MAZDA DAY OUT for all"
I am also going to try and get a deal to get an advert in one of the Jap mags to promote this , because quite simply if we don\'t make a go of this event we will lose this wonderfully interesting venue for good .

Hi all,
If you have never been to Brooklands this year may well be the last time you can with your car on show at this historic venue because if collectively we don\'t bring enough cars this year this will never happen again for us all
We opened this up to all Mazdas to keep this event for another year because the numbers we so low last year.
The Mini club went there with 800 cars , the MX-5 club took 400 cars , last year we took 30 !, takes no working out that if nobody turns up our cars will not be invited back
Dont know where others are stopping if at all, but Me and Michelle have booked ourselfs into the Brooklands hotel http://www.brooklandshotelsurrey.com/ for 31st.
QuoteIf you have never been to Brooklands this year may well be the last time
Hardly missed a year at Brooklands sice 2002 - would be sad to see MRC loose the slot but better for the club to have enjoyed this venue for so many years than not having it at all.
John
Could i ask a bit unrelated question?
I used to be a member. Forgot to renew my membership last year.
I tried the online store, and it comes up as 0.00£ is something wrong?
As i\'ve done it a while ago. I tried today again, and again 0.00£
Please help...
Hi
You need to use this link to renew your membership http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/payments.php

Excellent news :Thumbsup!
Well done the car passed mot. See ya sun jim.
Hoping to be there on Sunday, not sure how early to get there as I know they are sometimes funny about opening the gates before 10am. My MRC mebership has lapsed - dont have the time to be on here much - but we are Brooklands Trust members anyway.
Lets hope we have enough cars to make sure this stays on the calendar
To answer the above, the gates officially open at 10am , people normally start queuing at the gate at around 9.30 so they can get their cars in front of the clubhouse.
Look forward to seeing you there.

It was a superb day, me and Michelle really enjoyed it, its now one of our favorite venues :)
The 4.5 hr drive home in the RX3 was amazing with lots of thumbs up from passing motorists :Thumbsup!
Fab day, lovely weather and great to catch up with everyone.
Neil\'s just working on some photos (outside with a beer!) :guinness
Lovely day at Brooklands (again), aided by fabulous British summer weather. Thanks to Lisa and Clive for organising.

This is the old girl in the sun at the Mazda Nationals.
And the addition of a Trophy made it even better :)
Great event as always. Sad I missed last years event due to date clashes.
But this year was fantastic as always.
Was good to see friends from up north that we don\'t see that much.
Steve your RX3 looked great even better then at Japfest.
Would like to say thanks to all that voted for our (Mr Froggy and Tadpole included) FC that won one of the Best in Show awards. Made all the hard work this week worth it.
Hope we are lucky enough to have a Brooklands 2015
Great pictures everybody :Thumbs-up
Thanks to Clive and Lisa for organising this "relaxed" event at a fabulous venue (with sunshine included!). It was great to catch up with familiar faces and some new ones too.
Photos of the trophy winners (as voted on by MRC members in attendance) are below...... congratulations to all the winners. There was a winner in the "Best Piston" car entry, won by a lovely black MX-5. The trophy picture was taken with the owner\'s camera so he might post up here later maybe.

Great pictures, really capture the laid back atmosphere to this great event/venue.
Well done to Lisa and Clive for the arrangements again and to you all for the banter and brilliant cars.
Well done all the Trophy winners.
Arnie O and Ryan and Wayne for the efforts to get the car ready and win !!
Steve and Michelle well done car looked brilliant and yes you looked cool cruisin\' the M25 with your arm out the window :wiggle

Had a great day nice to meet some new friends and see some cool cars
Great company Realy makes it a good day out.
Your car is a credit to you Steve nice paint job dude.
And chris your car was looking at its finest as always
And what a ride I had in the rx4 made my day thanks Clive

Thanks, makes it all worth while :D
The M25 was enjoyable with lots of appreciating motorists including Chris and Tina flying past waving, then Jim following suit haha
We really enjoyed all the cars and everyone\'s company, hopefully Clive and Lisa will have the opportunity to make next year just as good :)
Thanks all and specially Clive and Lisa for making one of the most memorable shows to date for me and Michelle :)
Huge thanks to all who attended on Sunday, you all put on an excellent show.
I did not hear one problem about the fact that this year we mixed it up with piston engined Mazda\'s (unless somebody knows different) infact we know we had a couple of MX-5 guys who were poisoned by the lure of the Rotary :Thumbsup!
No feed back as yet from Brooklands yet, but if the event does continue as the Mazda Nationals I feel it could well grow as it provides an excellent event for all Mazda enthusiasts to showcase their cars to each other.
Once again thank you, because without your attendance there would have been no Mazda Nationals :god
I really enjoyed the day. It\'s a shame I could not lure more people there.
It\'s always been a favourite of mine since my first visit. Just a shame I missed last years event.
The other non rotaries really added to the mix I felt. And I do have a soft spot for a modified MX-5
I really hope we get a date for next year also. And we can grow numbers even more.
If its running next year you will get my support, :Thumbsup!
countzero1971 - I\'m luving the pictures of my silver FD in psycho colours.
Great day out and also had a chance to go around Concorde this year.
Lets hope it ticked the right boxes with Brooklands organisers too.
Keith
Keith - you\'re going to have to chrome wrap it!!
:)
Just to post up my gratitude towards Clive and Lisa for putting on, as usual, a great show.
Went over to Mercedes Benz World this year for the first time.
Surprised & elated by the trophy win! Glad that there is a "place" for unmodified cars. Joseph shows it to everybody who comes near the house! :D
The man running the F1 simulator of the Brooklands Circuit set a lap time - and I had my first drive and beat it (but still, I think Neil Carter got a marginally quicker time!)
I hope that the Mazda Nationals and the mix of cars helps grow the event and Brooklands want to keep it!
Didn\'t take too many pictures, but I\'ll post up the ones I did soon.
