21.9.2014 sunday is final round of our rallycross series in Hyvinkää. Track is very near Helsinki, maybe 30km. And about 70km from Hämeenlinna, where I live. So there is not much travelling.
Then, 20.9.2014 saturday there is Miata club day at Ahvenisto race track here in Hämeenlinna. I sure that I can organize our rotaries there too!
So, long weekend, you can see awesome driving, cars and fighting at Hyvinkää. And rotas and Miatas at our best, legendary Ahvenisto.
Also I can organize other activities too if needed. :Giggle

It\'s a cool idea.
I had a look, it\'s about 1,500 miles driving to get to you from London, going via Sweden. (About 1,700 miles via Poland).
So that\'s what, 6 or 7 tanks of petrol & 31 hours so probably three days driving each way.
I *might* be able to convince my wife that it\'s a good idea, although I\'m not confident of doing so this year. She\'s shown some interest in visiting Finland. Problem is that if I was going to drive that far, I\'d probably want to see some of the places along the way too, so would need to take two weeks\' off work.
I note that Saint Petersburg is a bit under five hours\' drive from you, have you ever been there? Is it safe? (Another place she\'s interested in).
If I do manage to plan a road trip to Finland, I\'ll definitely co-ordinate with you and arrange to come when there\'s an Ahvenisto trackday on. Not sure it\'ll be this year for me though.

But only logical way to do a so big road trip, is to visit other places too. Like Nurburgring Germany.
I havent been in Saint Petersburg. But I know that it is a beautiful town. It is quite safe I think. But its not that safe to any kind of special car, that might "disappear" ;)
And Hämeenlinna is old, historical little town. So, debending what you are intrested, there is lot to see. Castle, few military museums... Also hotel prices arent too bad. And its in crossroad of main routes so it would be easy to come and go from here...

Unfortunatly it is closed in July, witch would be good time to visit Finland. Open track day/practice days are every wednesday. But the best event is in late August, Historic Grand Race. Also there is few Radalle.com events, there you can see our tuning car scene.
can\'t recommend Finland enough. been their a few times and loved it. went to watch the world rally in 2009 there too.
Saw a FD down someone\'s drive but didn\'t go knocking.
