Title: 13b renesis front wheel drive
Post by: mr b on February 20, 2014, 09:32:10 PM
Hi looking at using a renesis motor out of an RX8 and fitting a fwd gearbox to it.
Has any one had any experience with a set up like this or any ideas.
 thanks in advance Brian

I haven\'t seen it done with a Renesis but I have seen other 13B motors in fwd cars so it can\'t be too hard. Obviously you\'d need custom mounts and an adapter plate to attach the motor to the gearbox as well.

I have thought using Honda Type R gearbox. They can take a beating in higher revs. But I havent see that box close so I dont know can it be done

That would be fun for lots of BURNOUTS. If you you find/make an adapter plate to attach a gear box etc then it\'s not that hard. Honda gear box for sure.

Honda box is what we are looking into, should be up to the job, but as any one tried it or any other box or any links that might be helpful
