well yeah its very silly i have to admit

BUT thats the way of the world

Next they will be asking for chassis numbers of the car you have to prove you own one

I dont think its helping the community AT ALL ( regardless of fb/fc/fd/fe etc.. )

What a load of crap that is. What if you want to join to learn more about the cars before you buy one? Seriously hurts the fan base I would think

Does seem some forums have an elitism going on experinced a few situations in the past when fact finding.

ive thought about it for the last 20 or so mins , and to be honest its really dis-heartened me

Its such a crying shame that as rotary owners we cant all play nice together

Its like a i have a sudden hatred for FB owners just cause of whats happened and i KNOW thats not a nice thing to feel

Its hurt quiet deep and i really do feel like an outcast just cause my car is newer than theirs :(

I understand where they are coming from and that its a FB only site .. but i wasnt there to make trouble etc.. , i just wanted parts for my car ...

They could have let me gone about my business and i could have slipped away without anyone noticing

Its been a very surreal experience and i wouldnt wish it on anyone

It\'s the utter petty futility of it, regardless of all other previous encounters it was simply an opportunity for some simple commerce to occur.  Someone there was selling something grinder wanted to buy, grinder would have bought something, seller would have got some money for it, both parties would have left satisfied.  It\'s so mind-numbingly simple and the reason for preventing it is so utterly idiotic that it\'s truly baffling.

All I can think is that the FB forum doesn\'t want people selling things on it to actually sell what they\'re advertising.

I supposed im used to MRC and the fact that we have users with every type of car

I didnt realise how the FB site worked , and to be fair , its their site they can run it how they want and we can run ours how we want

I have never been on FD UK so i dont know if they ONLY allow people with FD\'s on there , if thats how they run their site then it makes perfect sense for the FB site to be run in the same fashion

I suppose its like going to another country and not knowing their rules/cultures 100% .. its a lesson learnt i suppose .. but i still feel bitter about it .. i shouldnt really its a car with 4 sodding wheels .. LOL

Funnily enough, FDUK let you view and post on their for sale threads without an FD.

I can understand the policy for prestige cars like Veyron or Ferrari owners....but then on those sites you have an expensive yearly membership. Ive frequented many forums over the years due to owning pretty much all of the cult jap sportscars and fact some forums are rude unfriendly and very clicky! newbies get flamed and ridiculed when asking questions etc. I had a very nasty experience with my colt been on there 4 years and posted a whats it worth post..i broke the rules in there eyes as they deemed it was a forsale thread that only paid members can do.A mod edited my post under my name and basically wrote derogative remarks about myself...which others forum members all joined in taking the :censored::censored::censored::censored:. I contributed greatly to that forum with vids. Chat and met a fews members at Japfest. Suffice to say i was livid and wanted blood. I got an apologie and i have not been back on there since. My colt gti is 1 of only 14 left registered on the road so a pretty rare care if forgot about the proton clone!
Thankfully MRC is not like that and only being a rotor head for a few years ive asked my fair share of silly qs when i had my fd! Long may it continuem
