Title: Twin plate help
Post by: Palmeruk on February 08, 2014, 03:25:12 PM
Hi ive put a hks twin plate in my fd, i used the standard release bearing and ring that holds the bearing to the pressure plate, now when my engine is running and i press the clutch pedal down it bounces back and makes a clunking noise, sounds like the fork is hitting the plate, any ideas why? :-(

Bearing torn of fork snapped.  Look through the lower inspection plate of the gearbox with a torch and get someone to press the clutch pedal. With the engine off. You should see what\'s going on.

There should be a different release bearing and rod with the hks clutch, if you use oem the clutch won\'t operate properly
