Title: Membership Question
Post by: Prof on January 06, 2014, 08:02:25 AM
Hi follks

How can I see if my membership has expired ?

I suspect it has as I can\'t reply to a PM, and also can\'t get into members area.

Thanks in advance..

Dave

If you go to the USER CP and check Paid Subscriptions at the bottom it should tell you.

Hope this helps.

Sure we used to get a reminder?
Just paid mine and forgot to put my username, it would have come from kitchenskitchens

Apologies as we are having some serious problems with forum emails and the automated subscription system. Lisa is doing her best to manually update subscriptions in difficult circumstances.

My problem was that when you go to User CP and look at paid subscriptions, it doesn\'t actually say anywhere that your membership has run out, only that it is available to pay for (but it also says it will start when your current subscription runs out), not all that clear.

I knew something was up when the mailbox was doing weird things ;-)

Thanks Lisa for sorting me out ;-)

I see now that it says active subscription - so if you are a member you can see you are a member, but when it does run out it\'s maybe not so obvious, I\'ll know for next time ;-)

You are correct Prof - if you have an active subscription it shows the expiry date, but once expired that detail is "dropped", which is the clue that there is no active subscription....not ideal. The system should also drop the user from Member to Guest, which is a big hint. However, this latter feature hasn\'t been rather "hit and miss" at times.

I think the old girl (forum) is creaking a bit with age. We\'ve been considering an upgrade for some time, but the expertise+time to carry it out hasn\'t been there. However, plans are again afoot for an upgrade, due to a willing volunteer stepping forward :Thumbs-up
