I think we have found the position for the engine, its approx 20cm back, with the front just sitting above the rack, but its height is meaning it is just cleaning the hood - like 1mm from the intake manifold.
Before I start modifying the steering rack position (hopefully avoid) is this height a problem for handling (center of gravity and all of that) given the engine is back, should it be a problem?
I may need to shorten the intake manifold, and I was thinking of milling 2mm of each face of the UIM to LIM. Should the ~5mm we get from this be enough? Or, simply asked -What would be enough clearance from hood to engine?
