Post by: Speedworks on December 19, 2013, 07:18:13 PM
Anyone has some pointers on the max break disk diameter for a 18" wheel?

With refference to that, what diameter would you combine it with in the rear

I run 380 APs but they won\'t fit under all 18"s . Rota torques, boost, and gtrd are good for clearence . I have WORK wheels which also clear , 356s are big enough for the car really

I\'ve got 356s under 17in wheels so you would expect to be able to go another 25mm at least.

All depends on what wheels you own. I\'m using team dynamics Pro-race 1.2 that have a huge space in them !

Ok so365 would also fit then. Those are easier to find on Ebay (looking for slotted rotors) . There are some 365*32mm Insignia OPC rotors (Brembo) on the net. I think they are a great deal (Got Brembo GT 6 piston calipers)

Any other Ideas? Are there other cars taht use 356 or 365 mm drilled disks that have potential?

fe. front disks of a recent mercedes S-class, BMW or similar.

Something that would basisally require redrilling the bolt pattern?

yes and no.. I have both AP Racing CP5200 calipers and brand new Brembo GT calipers laying around and need disks to go with them. The ones I got with the calipers are way to big for 18" wheels.

And also for replacement afterwards. OEM needs to be available min 0 years after a car goes out of production.

just checked the parts catalog and the 370Z disks are 354.5mm diameter which would be great, and 5X114.3 PDC (disk thickness 32mm)

370Z rears are 350mm but only have a disk thickness of 20mm...

Nissan 370Z front diks are 354,5mm diameter so could be an option as well. They als have multiple upgrades available (slotted, drilled and combo)

I noticed a Hyundai Genesis 3.8 the other day, but I currently don\'t know what Original diameter these have, but they seem to be made by Brembo
