funny you should ask about body work thats exactly what i asked them when i was down there, they dont actualy do it on the premises but they can get it don.
they showed me one of the cars that has been done and it was a very good job.
i spoke to martin down there as he deals with the rx7\'s his knowledge of the rotary is good but he has dealings with pip at wgt autos as well.

I could probably reply to some of this but its most likely going to be lible or something so as Jap Village dont really exist anymore Im not going to.

Im sure if you speak to a few people who have cars from there you will get a few of the stories.  Only living around the corner, I have a lot of them lol.

Ill do Oil Changes and basic bits myself.  If its something major, probably go to Geff at RE Worx but I have used Abbey Motorsport a fair bit too.

do you think you will give these guys a try?

Yeah Geff in Portsmouth.

I will not be giving these people a try.  Same place as Jap Village is too much of a co-incidence for me to be happy with!  Not saying anythings wrong with them of course, but ill stick to known quantities.

I\'D BE VERY CAREFUL HERE.............
I\'ve used Geff for mappin and supply and fittin and very impressed.Alot of people on here use him aswell. Certainly knows his stuff. Of course there are many other specialist:-
 Hayward Rotaries
 Wgt
 RX Motors
 Dragon
No one says you have got use Geff.

Hmmm.  I\'ve heard a lot of slating of Jap village and Tim porter on here but have to say quite honestly that he never screwed me over in anyway, or any of my mates.
Whenever we brought a car he always let me get it up on the lifts and do proper checks on everything, it was only once Cannon ball took off that he lost interest in JV (MO) and shut it down.  But if you\'ve got horror stories I\'m interested to know what it was over, service or aftersales or what?

Never used them myself but Ive known cars sold as the wrong year model, realised by parts for the supposed year not fitting.

I have known someone who found out there car had been clocked because some previous invoices with it had the mileage on higher than the current mileage.

I know of someone who has viewed a car, agreed to buy it and then found bits of it have dissapeared between then and collecting it.

One of my friends crashed a car, and he took it there as somewhere to get it fixed.  Car was declared a write off (didnt look that bad to me).  Insurance paid him and then a few months later it was for sale...

Just a few for you there from memory without delving into my e-mails that people have sent me.

I guess this shouldnt really be posted, but as the company no longer exists I will.  If someone wants to remove it go ahead as I cant prove any of the above.

Out of interest was it a white skyline that got sent there for repair? I seem to recal seeing it there (must be 18months-2yrs ago now) for ages at the back of the warehouse.  If as you say he was dodgy dealing then I guess he deserves a :flamed

Nope it was an RX7, but now you mention the Skyline if it was a Silver one then I know where that came from and there were some issues regarding it too.
