We have received notification of next year\'s Japfest, which is on Saturday 10th May at Castle Combe.
Due to a loss of funds in booking dedicated track time that was not taken up, we will only book 1 x dedicated track session of 20 places.
Therefore to secure your place, we will be asking for payment in December to pay Japfest in January and secure our booking.

We still need names of people that want to go out on a dedicated Rotary track session at next year\'s Japfest.
So please add your name if interested.
We will require payment in December to be able to submit our booking at the begining of January.

We are well short of the 20 we need for one session, so unless we get more interest, we won\'t be running a dedicated rotary track session. I\'m somewhat surprised as, between the MRC and RX8OC we managed to run 4 full track sessions in 2012
This is a great track to drive, and a chance to show off our rotary cars to the Japfest crowd. Any more takers?
Lisa called me a few minutes ago, having received a call from Graham (G3, Events Co-ordinator, RX8OC). During the discussion, primarily concerning event dates for next year, the topic of Japfest tracktime arose. Both the MRC and RX8OC are struggling to fill a session each, so we all think it is sensible to try and get a single session organised. As payment has already been setup in the RX8OC shop, we\'ve decided it\'s easier if the session list over there is used.
The RX8OC Japfest tracktime list is at;
http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=54548 (http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=54548)
Many of us are on both lists already, but Arnie_O, CJR and Shaunwil would add three to the RX8OC list and get towards a viable session.
Note that the RX8OC session is NOT purely RX-8\'s, as a few ex-RX8 owners are planning on putting their current GT-86 and MX-5 on track in the session.
If they are happy, could I ask Arnie_O, CJR and Shaunwil to put their names on the RX8OC list and we will abandon the idea of an MRC arranged session.
Please note that the RX8OC require PAYMENT via the RX8OC shop by THIS SUNDAY, as they need to pay in advance and, like us, got stung last year when they couldn\'t fill all the places paid for in advance.
Apologies to all the other people on the list (including me :Laugh)who wanted to do two rotary sessions; if you want to do another session or two then it will need to be on a "public" one.
Sorted out, added to list and paid for the session :D
Shaun
Chris - I have added your name to the list as only 2 spaces left.
Please see Malcolm\'s link re payment.
Thanks Clive,
I\'ll go staight over and sort payment.
Chris
This is a great shame I was looking forward to this session. Is this not a lot earlier than usual? I don\'t normally start thinking about japfest till the new year.
^^ Yes, it\'s a little bit earlier this year as the Japfest organisers announced dates and started to take bookings earlier than in previous years. Judging by a quick look on several car forums, most clubs are moving quickly to organise tracktime for their members as it\'s always popular.
Hi All,
Just to let you know that the RX-8OC will try to secure a second track session for those that are interested in doing a second session.
Please add you name to the new list: http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=54548
Once you have made your payment in the RX-8OC shop.
Cheers,
Ian.
This has got to be worth a bump... Not sure what the current list looks like but it\'s a great track people.
Aston
There is no swcondf track session booked?? as per the RX-80C
There is only one joint track session booked between the two clubs.
Sad times... We usually manage 4 this year we can just about manage 1 between both clubs...
Are there only 2 now between both clubs? With both now booked?
^^That\'s correct.
We managed to fill 4 sessions at Japfest last year; 2 RX8OC and 2 MRC (and had a reserve names list running too). We expected to run much the same this year but there wasn\'t the same demand......
Each session costs £700, payable in advance, so both clubs had to be careful to ensure they only booked what they could fill, else risk losing money.
In fact, there would have been only one (joint) MRC/RX8OC track session, were it not for conann promoting a 2nd session in the last couple of weeks :)
