Title: FC 13b counterweight confusion.
Post by: alex1916v on October 16, 2013, 08:42:08 PM
im after removing the flywheel to fit a different conversion flywheel to my \'89/\'90 FC 13B non turbo rx7,  i have found out the correct part number from Mazda as they are still available for £97 odd new... with a 3 week wait from japan.

now im in no rush for it, but i can get one slightly cheaper incl p+p from the USA...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mazda-RX-7-13B-13BT-Automatic-Engine-Rear-Counterweight-89-95-Turbo-NA-S5-FD-/221236494858?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3382b9020a&vxp=mtr

this one to be exact, since mines a 89/90 im a little unsure it is correct, there seems to be afew with the year groups > 89 then afew with 89 > so i want to be 100% correct if i do by second hand for cheaper!!

can anyone tell me if its defiantly the correct one, one or two people i have already asked online have come back with replies about s4 not fitting s5 etc but i dotn have a clue what they are on about, ive only just got into mazda\'s!

cheers for any help

is yours an automatic? I\'m pretty sure automatic and manual counterweights aren\'t interchangeable.

no, mine is a manual matey, the counterweight on a manual is cast into the stock flywheel, which im not planning on using, so i need the correct counterweight instead, the autos used them, as they dont use a flywheel.
