just reolised i *think* ive bought a mk2, which will have the 13B engine in not the 12A... it\'s gonna be monday before i find out for sure tho!!!

I still have the 13b parts from the ill fated FB, you more than welcome to have a browse. I\'m not far away at all (which makes a very nice change !)
I\'m not sure who would have one TBH, may be a rockauto, mazdatrix kind of thing from USA.

ill just check wiki to see what mine is and hope its a FD!
no such luck its FC car!! its got some ££££ recipts with it tho!!! full service history! jees these werent cheap cars!! lol

hi dude, yeah it\'ll proberbly end up comign from USA and i get bummed on the postage...
they are even rarer as, isnt it a perfomance upgrade to fit a lightend flywheel to these little revving engines, and since the stock counterwieght is cast into the factory flywheel, \'they\' all need the automatic\'s counterweight??

the need for the rear counterweight is, i wont be using the manual engines flywheel in my conversion, ill be using a modified vw flywheel with the centre of a 13B but the outer ring gear/clutch face for a vw

since the stock maual engined rear counterweight is cast into the stock flywheel (which im not using) i have to use the counterweight off a automatic transmission car, which also didnt use a flywheel etc...
so i need on ASAP really, no major rush as ive got the adaptor plate and the engine for mock up, but when i want to run it up ill need the counterweight so id rather sat on my shelf waiting than me waiting for it... ive tried my local Mazda place, they are gonna get back to me tomorrow, but i doubt its available new.

it looks to only be missing the front bumper and both front wings, other than that its a real shame to break as its only a 2 owner car from new, full Mazda service history (up to 96!) everything works too... typical i hate killing cars too!
anyway ill be taking the engine and all the engine related ancillaries to make it run... but probably losing all the EFI stuff in favour for good old fashioned points/dissy/carb etc... (which im hoping 12A\'s were?!!!)
so everything\'s for sale, cheap too, ideally id like what it cost me to get it back!! or if you want to buy the whole car, i have the V5, then PM or email me

yeah i thought as much matey as 99% of em are manuals! its only the yanks that want the autos...
out of interest, was your (old?) FB on carbs? and was it old skool enough to have points in the dissy or was it still slightly more \'complicated/electtonicy\' than a plain \'ol set of points?!?
Plenty on eBay.com. Not sure if any are FC though. Circa $80 usd
yeah, ive emailed the few on there, non specify posted to the UK so im waiting to find out if they will and how much its gonna be...
i have since foudn out that my local mazda place can get them, they think the part no is N3Y811D6X and is £97 incl VAT, they take up to 3 weeks to turn up, so im happy to buy from them unless i know i can get one cheaper...
only thing about buying one, from the usa, or even gettign mazda to import one, it has to be the 100% correct part, as there is some changes around 89 and since mine is a 89/90 G plate... im a little unsure...
im gonna pull the engine soon once just to double check the mounting sytle/type, if there\'s any obvious difference?!) then ill buy one
