Shortly after buying and running my car it became apparent there was an issue!
It couldn\'t keep the coolant in the system. Various caps were tried but all failed.
Seemed there was only one thing for it!

So one Saturday evening work began. By Monday night the bare lump was out of the car!
It was then taken to Rotary Master Jason at Super 7 for a rebuild and light tune.
Once apart it became obvious what the problem was. A flipped water seal (compression side) was the issue, otherwise the internals were in very good shape!

Whilst apart we decided it would be rude not to do a little porting! A little porting turned into a little more porting, but all for the good of noise and power!
Larger injectors have been fitted to the modified fuel rail and whilst the engine was carefully pieced together i was sourcing other parts such as a new power plant and Apexi ECU to handle the new additions.
The engine was looking good.

All i needed to do now was clean up all the ancillaries etc and deliver them to Super 7.

The engine bay got a little spring clean too in preparation for the engine and box to land........

More bolt on bits. Intercooler installed. Probably the worst instructions in the world! Bit of modification needed to get the pipes through but it fits! Lets hope it makes a difference!!
So the call comes that the engine and box have been re-united and all ancilleries are bolted back on to the newly rebuilt engine. The larger ports, bigger injectors and better tips should certainly help the air flow. I have had the sequencial part of the turbos removed so they now work as a small single turbo and the manifold ported to add to the free flow!
I obviously was excited as a kid in a sweet shop to hear it was in one piece.

Rushed down to Super 7 to pick it up!

All bolted in. Intercooler plumbed in, Rad fitted, powerplant re-installed. Exhaust pipe re hung and connected up. Just needs a bit of reprogramming on the ECU to see if she fires up!

Nick at Sprinter Recovery kindly towed it down to the Super 7 workshop to be plugged in and fired up. Within ten mins of being there she was running. Thats one way of putting a grin on my face!

Back to the garage to finish off fluids and get the bumper back on, then 500 long miles to run it in and make sure it is all healthy!:driving
