For those you attending the Casino Party Night on the 7th December, below is details of how the casino part of the evening works.
Please note that the hotel does not have a gambling licence, so therefore this is just played with pretend moneyand for fun:-:Party
Information regarding our casino tables:
On arrival all guests will be given the same amount of play money.
Once guests decide they would like to bet on the casino tables the casino clerk will swap the money for chips to bet.
The guests then pay until they bet all their money and high winners can choose to swap their winners for a top scorer play cheque.
At the end of the evening the guests who have won the most amount of money will be announced 1st 2nd and 3rd place. The winner will then receive a prize.

Couple of questions;
1. Any hotel dress code for this event? If not, do we want to have our own MRC group dress code?
2. Any idea what games will be on offer; will it be the usual range of roulette, poker, blackjack......?

It would mean two things either we try and arrange to book a meal there or have our meal as plannned at the De Vere hotel and then get minibus etc over to the casino.
Please let me know your thoughts, I need to confirm our booking shortly.
A Casino Party Night and going to a proper Casino are very different things. I\'ve done both many times and I don\'t mind but I wouldn\'t have thought going to a proper Casino would be the sort of thing most people would want to do for a Christmas Party?
It would also be crazy to eat at the De Vere, miss out on their entertainment and travel to the Casino instead. There are loads resturants around the Casino, and a bar and grill in it. It\'s right in the middle of MK in Xscape. Are you then going to get a mini bus back to the hotel as people have already booked their rooms?
So I would suggest sticking with the party night but that\'s just my 2p worth.
Having never been to a casino before I would prefer to try my hand with pretend money first!
So my vote would be to stick with the casino party..

Stick with original plan - very happy with that. I was always aware that this Casino night was with fun money as I\'ve done one many years ago.
I\'m known to frequent Casinos with real money when on holiday cruises, but these events are more about the fun/entertainment factor, not about putting down real cash!! There\'s still some thrill to be had in trying to win, but also knowing you won\'t leave having possibly lost real money ;)
Well I didn\'t know it wasn\'t a real casino but that said I\'m not a gambling man so I don\'t mind sticking with the original plan :)
