I mentioned it to the RX-8 lot at the meet MK tonight.

Lisa, thanks for organising this, it sounds really excellent - especially as I get inexplicably drawn to Blackjack tables when on cruise ships :)

Gwyn and I are possibles - just need to confirm, hopefully over the weekend.

Excellent! - Hope you and Gwyn can join us.

:Thumbs-up Thx Lisa -discussed this with Gwyn over dinner tonight, with a glass or two of wine, and she\'s happy to come along (she enjoyed the "Living Room" outing to MK last time!). I think we\'ll try and get down on Friday night and visit Bletchley Park (Codebreakers) on the Saturday and make it a longer break. Lisa - do you know if the hotel has any rooms on the Friday night too? If not, we\'ll book another hotel nearby.

Good news Malcolm.

I would give the hotel a ring and just tell them you are there for Saturday night and also book for Friday night hopefully at the same price!

Just checked with Hotel and they are Fully Booked for the 7th

John, I\'m assuming that\'s because they\'ve blocked out rooms whilst awaiting confirmation of numbers attending the Casino evening?

Lisa - thx, let me know if they have a double for the Friday night. No problem if they don\'t as we\'ll just book something else local for the Friday; it would just be more convenient if it\'s the same hotel :Thumbs-up

Hope so, would not like to go elsewhere after party.

I will phone them this morning and and try and book 10 rooms.  I will let you know.

Panic over!

I have block booked 12 rooms for the Saturday night only under the name of Mazda Rotary Club.

In order to book your own room you need to call 01908 215602 or 215615 with card details to secure your room.

Rooms will be held until the end of November.

Please post on here once you have booked your room.

Malcolm, I have booked you a separate room under your name for the Friday & the Saturday night for the same price.  You will need to call them to confirm the booking.

What\'s the planned dress code?

Hi Aston

Dress code is smart, so no jeans, trainers or t-shirts.

Dinner starts at 7.00pm

Thanks Lisa

We\'re just smartening ourselves up... Hope to be there between 6.30 and 7.

Quote from: Lisa;869022Hi Aston

Dress code is smart, so no jeans, trainers or t-shirts.

Dinner starts at 7.00pm

The only problem is I only have jeans :)

Massive thanks to Lisa for (again) arranging for this great evening out. I know it takes a lot of time behind the scenes to make these events happen so a huge thankyou from Gwyn and I for a very enjoyable evening. It was great to meet the usual suspects plus some new faces; Danb and Clara, Nick and Sarah, Wagner and Kimberley, plus Carol (Johns\' wife) for the first time. I hope I got those names right........ :o

For the record, I lost all my chips on the Blackjack table, but Gwyn accumulated about 4 times her original stake. Seanp and I dumped all our chips (well, Gwyn\'s chips, if you want to be precise :) )on the last hand of the evening and won, which would have seen a profit of about £150 each, had it been real money :D

Great fun, great company and the food Gwyn and I had last night was excellent.

I hope everyone got home safely.

Huge thanks to all of you who  came along last night, with each and every one of you making it an excellent evening :D

Thanks Lisa for arranging this event. We had a great time and enjoyed meeting everyone and catching up.
(Wonder how the fat and ugly couple from Friday night got on !!) :Party :rollin:rollin:rollin:Hammer

MRC Christmas Party 2013

Also to reflect what I said over on the RX8OC.

Huge thanks to Lisa and Clive for arranging this - we had a great time, despite having to leave a bit early and not join in the after-party :)

Malcom was a great gambling assistant; it certainly seemed to pay off when all I had was 1 green chip left on the blackjack table, which doubled up a couple of times; and our "all in" last hand paid off well :)

Great to meet some new faces - and old ones too :)

Mine and Lindas thanks also to Lisa for organizing a great night out. :Thumbs-up
We are not much of party animals so don\'t get out often and certainly not as a couple if it involves cars, but on this occasion we were royally entertained by the great company. So thanks everyone that made the evening enjoyable for us both.

It was a cracking night as always and i managed not to get too drunk :)

Was a really fun night, thanks
