Title: 12A rebuild?

My brothers 12A hasnt been on the car... i think more than 5 years now. Engine has no fluids and hasnt been turned even. It was rebuilded about year before it went to project and engine came off.

Question is: is it safe to try to start it or does it need rebuild?

Put a bit of oil/wd down the exhaust holes and turn ovder by hand and you should hear it becoming healthier
 
you don\'t really want to separate it again as the bits for that are a pig to get.

Ok, I see. Do we have to worrie about getting oil to bearings and E-shaft?
Yes, I have heard that its getting harder to get part for it.

In RS10, I had like a million questions but forgot to ask. :)

-One thing I have though, in stock 12a, if you put little supercharger on it, how much boost it can hold?

-Another thing what I have thinked for a long time now: I want to put 2 little carbs above the engine and with different lenght manifolds. Shorter manifold to middle plate ports and longer to outher plates. Can it work? Is it done by anybody?

5psi max with fresh engine.  yes it can be done with holley carb or nikki carbs and it\'s more of suck it and see job. there\'s one on amercia ebay ATM, twin webers with one split manifold.
 For you info, Nobody in Uk want to know N/A inless it\'s a "TURBO" and you\'re better off finding another forum on N/A tuning. someone here will come along soon to pull you in on the good N/A side.
12A was a very good engine, stronger metal than a FD/FE, only weaking\'s a chome plating on the housings. Getting a spare 12A housing itself\'s get hard to find a good one. Good luck and have fun with 12A.

I wont supercharge it, I was just wondering about that. :)

Ok, I need Mazda 1800, Capella or RX-2 owners manual or repair manual. Does someone have any of those on computer or link where I can find it?

Hi,

Just spotted this post.  I have a RX-2 Workshop manual and a Haynes manual.  Is there any specific information you need as I can try and scan for you.
