right most of you know i am in the middle of the rebuilding of my rex and i have now got to the stage where i need to start prepping for the reinstallation of the engine.
i have decided to replace everything i can and upgrade when possible,
this is where i need to pick the brains of guys who have used braided lines or any other type of enhanced piping.
i am doing it all myself and work away weeks to months at a time so if anyone has the info i need that will save a lot of time and questioning.
i will be using braided lines, teflon lines etc but am unsure on what sizes and angles and fittings i will require, so if i list the bits i hope to do can someone list which parts and fittings i will need please, you would be helping me out muchly
i hope to
fuel lines, -----
i will be replacing the fuel pump, but hope to keep the hard lines as they are in good condition all the way through to the bulkhead.
i have a aftermarket primary rail and dm motorsport secondary.
brake / clutch-----
the brake lines are teflon coated weave things from the calliper to the first connection, i am unsure of my options on these, also the clutch line is braided but that was stressed on engine removal so will probably need replacing.
turbo-----
i am unsure which turbo will be going on as yet but will probably be a turbonetics item or similar.
obviously heat management will be key here, but i can deal with that afterwards
oil-----
i will be keeping the standard twin oil coolers and standard powersteering etc. but the pipes and lines have seen better days,
i will be relocating the oil filter to the front of the bay or by the suspension turret.
coolant----
i already have a set of silicone hoses but am always open to better methods.
wiring loom----
i was just going to retape all the bay loom and techflex my new engine loom but found a local supplier that sells sexy sexy loom tidying kit , unfortunately they are a trade supplier so everything comes in quantities of 100, not ideal, may end up just taping everything still in a heat reflective tape.
any advice data or links you have on this will be awesome help, cheers
