Title: New member looking for an FD
Post by: Azzer_R on August 18, 2013, 07:59:04 PM
Hi guys, joined up on the forum a little while ago. Mainly been lurking on the for sale section keeping my eye out for an FD, currently have a Nissan 350Z which I have for sale or swaps if anyone fancies it!
I\'m based in Portsmouth and loyal to my jap cars having had an EP3 Civic Type R, 2 x S13 200sx\'s (CA18 and SR20) and the 350Z, I was originally looking at a 180sx, S15 or PS13 Silvia after the 350Z but have the bug for a rotary project. Hopefully be joining the majority of you in ownership sooner rather than later!

Hi and welcome to the club. What sort of fd are you looking for? Twin, single, budget? There\'s some nice cars for sale around here

I\'m going to try and spend about 5-6k on one. If a single came up at that price I\'d go for it if not I\'m quite happy with a twin and doing the single conversion myself at some point. Main aim is it to pick one up that is near stock inside and out (cant beat factory styling) and a well looked after engine, preferably recently rebuilt but aslong as it has good compression. Any reliability mods all the better!

It\'s an 03 GT in Black, more or less stock apart from a few things. If there is any interest I can post it up on the forum or PM anyone the link for the advert :)

Welcome.

Have a look at the cars for sale section, few of us have cars ready for sale atm.

For example, mine is stock exterior, stock interior but proper sleeper.  Not far off your price bracket either!

I\'ve been lurking on the for sale section. I believe yours was one of the first that caught my eye as it looked so clean with the right mods, just about 2k to much for me! :( waiting on the zed to sell and then I can get ready to pounce when the right one turns up.

Fair play, thanks for looking though. Just a note, those mods came in at over twice the asking price:eek:.  Your budget should get you a nice clean stock car, or a slightly tatty single (by tatty I mean may need paint or interior bits changing).  If upping the power is not the aim, then stock twins all the way :yes

I\'d rather a nice clean stock car with twins, any other bits such as rad, down pipe, fmic, power fc etc. would be a bonus. I like doing the majority of work on my cars myself so that would give me a great base to start from :)

I\'m the exact same when im ready to hunt for 7 for myself.
Preferably stock with a good healthy engine but dont mind some mods.
Tho im looking to spend at least 6/7k as i want no less than a 1996... preferably a 98/99 for me.
Toying with the idea of possibly importing one when time comes as well.
