..finally fitted my pivot controller today...weather held up for most of the day..

...fitting wasn\'t too complicated. Just ensure you find the right connector block to tap into.....otherwise nothing much will happen :-((((, oh and you\'ll blow a few fuses!!

...looks very good. I\'m extremely happy!!! Thanks for all the advice etc

Where did you get it from Marc ?

Am I right in believing we can manually wind the lights like you can on MR2s ? I took the cover off mine and started winding the other day and it only lets you go so far before the motor pulls it back, do you need to fully open the lights first if you want to do this ?

Cheers,

Mart.

Hi Marc, how\'s things? :wave

Don\'t suppose you\'ve got any pics of the installation/finished result? How does the mechanism actually work? Is it a case of \'winding\' the lights to the desired angle or is there pre-set levels adjustment?

Cheers!

With this device :

http://edgetuning.co.uk/product.html?id=pivot_retractor_half_unit_rhu_m&category=electronics&subcategory=elecothers

You flip your lights up, set the desired percentage on the control box, then close your lights and it goes to that setting, so it\'s all cockpit control and can be set to a variety of angles. Don\'t know about fitting though.

If you pull out one of the main fuses next to battery (pink 30amp IIRC) this disables the pop-up function so you can manually wind the headlights up to the desired height.

..pivot control box from \'Edge tuning\'...

...connect it to the 6 pin blcok connector that works the popup action (switch at the top right of the dashboard)...set the % you want it to raise it on the pivot box..click the lights on and then off again, and hey presto the lights are sleepy......

...hardest part is taking the dashboard off, but lots of fun!!!

I\'ll post pic\'s later, i\'ll need to get some batteries for the digi camera....

I\'m very happy with it!

I did this last weekend at Elvington (trackday).  I wouldn\'t advise it on the road though (probably illegal? ;) )
