Title: jds 2014

First appologies to member here who are on fd:uk and already read this.
Just want to air the opinions of members who may be interested in the jds but worried about the competition .
Some of you might be aware that there are at least 3 cars out there in the jds streetclass that are comfortable hitting 8s and consistant.
In the last couple of weeks Andre in his gto has smashed his pb with a 9.8 on road tyres and a safe map for everyday road use so potentially next year he might be seeing 8s.
for a new entrant this can be off putting as it takes a lot of experience, engineering and money to build a 8 second car from a newbie point of view.
There is a driver\'s meeting being held at santapod after racing on sat 17th (gotp/rotorstock) to discuss how to recruit more entrants

In other clubs a lot of people are put off by the super quick competion and the deep pocket rivals and won\'t enter for this reason .

There is talk of maybe changing the rules slightly for 2014 to encourage new entrants and not a boring small grid .
There was something said about separating street and pro by ET times .

I have been asked to gauge interest in potential entrants for the future and I do have a small list of out of the rotary community.
So if there was changes to the rules in jds and a split would you consider entering in 2014

Please enter your name below. It\'s not a commitment just an interest if there was more competition at an entry level.
