Title: apple id\'s
Post by: johnf on August 02, 2013, 03:37:20 PM
I keep getting emails telling me how to reset my apple password.

Went in the local apple store and the \'genius\' said it could just be phishing.

The address is do_not_reply@apple.com

Had an email today saying a game has been downloaded, using my apple id, in Canada and if it wasn\'t me I should reset my password again.

This is second time I\'ve been told my id has been used to download stuff.

I did change the password the first time.

I think I\'ve done this about 5 times in the last month when prompted.

I do it on-line not on my phone by logging into the official apple site.

There is no payment facitily set up on my apple account and they have not tried to take any payment.

What to do?

Can I verify the email originated from apple?

Do I just ignore it?

Shall I reset my password again?

Anyone else experiencing this sort of thing.

Thanks

Sounds like chancers hoping you do something silly like not going through the official site or reveal a password / bank detail.

I would ignore it unless you see any account intrusion

I get these all the time John, just hover over the link and it will show you where the address will take you, usually they will take you to a random website with nothing to do with apple.
