Title: T2 intank baffle
Post by: mick choi on July 12, 2013, 04:27:20 AM
Hi guys I\'m thinking of taking my T2 on track running 450fwhp @1.2  will I need a intank baffle or swirl pot (do they do the same thing ?) to stop fuel starvation like the FD\'s?

IMHO you need the Intank collector to stop the Pump running dry and with that sort of power you need the Swirl pot to keep a clean bubble free fuel supply to the Rails. Thing is if you just put a Swirl pot in you will end up running your Lifter Pump dry on every other corner which will do it no good at all.

The Thing is with FD\'s they have an Intank Baffle as standard but the way they pull G round corners means it comes up a bit short in the trouser department, when cornering hard it throws the fuel about (usually to the sides away from the pump pick up) so you ether have to keep more than 1/2 a tank (massive weight disadvantage carrying a full tank) or do some thing about it. I never had a Problem with my T2 but at the same time i could not carry the same sort of speed round a bend like the FD.

so i guess i`ll have to fit both !   handling wise it nearly as good as my fd! as its got brand new tein flex coilovers with edfc, full set of polybushes through out, top + bottom f+r strut braces 5 point roll cage, & all the supernow arms.
