Title: Smoke after fitting a bung
Post by: Fats on April 13, 2013, 01:25:23 PM
Anyone experienced this? Today I test fitted a bung for my exhaust, whilst I was running it up for the oil change it started to throw out white smoke with a strong oil smell. After the oil change I removed the bung and gave it a run after 5 mins the smoke stopped and has been ok since?? I\'m thinking that bung is too restrictive and caused the crankcase pressure to rise. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before??

Cheers

Mine hates the bung with a passion. It causes too much back pressure and causes it to over fuel. If your cars mapped without bung it will alter map.

It\'s like going back to a standard exhaust from a 3," free flowing . I\'d suggest saving for a quieter free growing exhaust mate

My first thought was an oil seal had gone! Think I\'m gonna leave the bung for now
