Title: FD Oil Injector Help
Post by: ttpower on March 29, 2013, 06:01:49 PM
Hey,

Ive been modifying my fuel system on my RX7 FD.

Going for a parallel set-up and have been adapting my stock primary rail with some -6an adapters for braided fuel lines.

Anyway, issue i\'m facing is that both adapters on the primary rails are colliding with the OMP injectors. I dont really wont to remove them, could I adapt with a standard banjo, im unsure if the vacuum line is something significant, not too bothered of a smokey start-up.

There is a bit more to the oilers tbh, first off the Pipes on the top arn\'t vac pipes there hooked up to the Breathers from memory and still work fine with the Rubber pipes off (as many do with Single Turbo\'s).

As for Banjoing the Oiler, you can\'t really do it that way as the Oiler jet is designed in such a way the engine\'s Vacuum opens a one way valve in the Jet dragging air and the Oil into the Bore causing better Atomization, by removing this effect it will reduce the efficiency of the OMP system and count on the engines oil pressure to feed the jet (the oil would be localized to around the hole in the housing)

leave off the vac lines ..
( BTW ,, the little filters on ends of the solenoids in the birds nest fit on top of the oil squirts )

or could try the s4 oil squirt which is less bulky

Makes sense, might be worth going premix after all.
