Title: head units?
Post by: Skifledanabit on March 27, 2013, 03:15:27 PM
Its been years since i even thought about head units, so much so that i think the last time i ever conciously looked for reviews for the latest "choon" player was in max power.

So, what\'s good these days? What can they do?

to be honest , i would be looking for one that will either control an ipod ( if you have one )

or a bluetooth one to go with your phone and prob one that accepts USB as CD\'s are a pain to burn these days ! LOL

I have an iPod, but still use CDs anyway, so where should I be looking, I have the choice of a double din as well now as there is a huge gaping hole where the radio should be.

Looking at the pioneer double din stuff such as the AVH-X8500BT.

http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/109/281/AVH-X8500BT/page.html

expensive, so maybe one of the earlier models.

I\'ve always had double din in my rexs, the satnav and DVD player has been lifesavers and really cool to just have. If u looking at doubles stick to kenwood ddx range or pioneer avic range. Pioneer sounds better, kenwood better screen of course dependant on what model you choose.
