Title: Definitive answer for plugs
Post by: ELA on March 17, 2013, 08:17:54 PM
The manual states that the following plugs are required:

Leading side BUR7EQ
Trailing side BUR9EQ

However all the companies I look for to buy a set of plugs from seem to sell 4x BUR9EQ or BUR9EQP.

My question is, should I be fitting all 4 plugs Part Number BUR9EQ or should I buy 2 of the 7\'s and 2 of the 9\'s.

This relates to a car only mildly tuned (Exhaust/filter/FMIC/APEXi powerFC). If you know of a better solution I\'m all ears:Thumbsup!

Most folks use 4 x BUR9EQP for stock or light mods.

I\'ve tried both ways and it didn\'t make any difference on a standard car,  7\'s can be a hassle to find so as has been said already just use 9\'s. P\'s tend to last longer.

When I first had my FD even Mazda didnt bother with the 7\'s.  I never have either and had no problems (yet!!) for 9 years :)

Owners Manual supplied with UK FD\'s stated four 9\'s to be fitted.

Hope this helps
