Hello everyone im new here and was look for some ideas on the tach not working everything is hooked up but no tach is any test i can do to see if tach itself is bad well thanks

Which series of rx7 are you running? Do you have any other faults showing?
Have a read of the electrical manual at :

I think they do cover all the testing to see what has died.
