Hi everyone,
finally got my car back from re-spray and she\'s looking sweet.  I\'m afraid the newest photo of it is a little poor quality as it was taken on a phone.  Current mods to date include Apexi FR front bumper and rear spoiler, sideskirts, HKS exhaust, Blitz boost gauge, HKS induction kit, Blitz dump valve, In car DVD and Screen.  Still looking for those right wheels to come along.

PS where did you have the respray done in Leicester & happy?

Actually mate they released a Coupe in japan (no, really!) when they brought out the turbo\'d limited edition, remember reading about it in evo and also seeing a pic of a yellow coupe on the back of an issue of Jap Performance (YAM advert).

But look on the bright side, heard Gerry\'s super-duper wide body FD was mistaken for a mitsi GTO!! :rollin

I can remember that coupe actually, but theres still a big difference between the two, lol.

There were two blokes arguing over it! One guy was saying "its just an MX5 with big wheels and a kit", and his mate was saying "its bloody not, but I don\'t know what it is" lol.

On the bright side, part of the appeal is that you are driving a unique car. I think FDs are getting more publicity lately, so it should be a thing of the past.

Well, I think they kind of realised it wasn\'t an MX5 from the sound of it and the 1ft flame from the exhaust, hahaha.
I\'d rather keep them guessing anyway, lol.
The MR2 bit was from some jealous inbred from back home. "Oh look at him in his flash MR2." People like that aren\'t worth worrying about.

Quite right mate. Don\'t even give them a thought. Jealousy is a sad thing, there are always people who are upset with themselves and like to take it out on others whatever the reason.

Those in the know, know! Like you said, it must be nice to have a bit of a mystery machine, i reckon 90% of people who see it and don\'t know exactly what it is would definitely be impressed and like to find out. For everyone else, there\'s novas! :rollin

Jus try and clear up a few questions,  the car behind is a type r rx7 efini with no front bumper.  I had the re-spray from Asylum motorsport in Coventry.  The interior is full black leather, but i also have sun-roof, climate control, cruise control and full bose sound system as standard.  I took this photo before the re-spray last year at santa pod at a jap show around september time.

Nah mines a manual.  You might have seen it if you were at Billing on saturday it was parked up near the impreza\'s.  I don\'t know if anyone can help, my insurance is up mid august i\'m currently with Tesco\'s for a ridiculous amount of money.  I\'ve got a limited policy of 3000 miles and it is garaged but i\'m only 21......!

That\'s very interesting. I don\'t even have an FD yet matey, so can\'t help with the insurance, although if you check out the insurance section of this site you\'ll find a LOT of good info.

Reason i find it interesting is because i\'m only 23, and my car will also be garaged on very very low mileage. Trouble is i\'ll have been driving for under a year by the time i come to get my own beasty, worried i\'m going to be taken to the cleaners big time.

Have a look at the posts regarding young drivers, sure you\'ll find some useful numbers.

I\'ve put a deposit down on one in Bradford and assuming the test drive goes well on Friday it\'ll be mine, if not then I\'ll keep looking or get in touch :cool
