:god
It\'s stunning! :D
Drool........
Very cool!
There\'s something missing:(
Grant wants turbo. This would be fail.
No it wouldn\'t.
N/A all the way Grant - a tubby would spoil this!
Let\'s be honest, apart from the engine and I agree, it\'s just fine N/A.... it\'s already been ruined, IMO naturally :P :)

I\'m with grant on this one haha :D
Two wrongs don\'t make it right! :D
2 mods make a right though!
What about 3 of us :D
Brett mailed me this before .. im think its pretty awesome
3 - 2 NA to Turbo.
Wrong.
I\'m composing a letter the mr. Amemiya that he has got it wrong and turbo should be installed right away.
Has anyone seen the 20B turbo porche on rx7 club?? Oof that\'s a good engine car combo. Putting down 700rwhp iirc:D
Utterly awful and hateful.
700 whp is as much use as :censored::censored::censored::censored: on a fish if you can\'t use it.
It\'s in a porche, rear mounted engine and gearbox etc, mechanical grip and hugely wide tyres
So no weight over the front, reduced braking effect and very-difficult-to-control polar moment of inertia from the motor.
And you\'re basing that on what exactly?
Porsche 911s have roughly 40% of their weight over the front wheels, having a lighter rotary in the back would mean less weight at the rear resulting in a more even weight distribution, so perhaps 55%/45% F/R :)
I guess 45% is a bit more than 0% eh?
Will come on, porche have made their cars into amazing machines, suspension, brakes, foam filled fuel cell for stopping fuel slosh. I would have a porche if I ha the moolah.
Ok they aquaplane really easy when its wet under braking but....
I don\'t think a turbo three rotor will be much lighter than a flat six. In fact, there\'s maybe 2 kg in it, 20B weighs 160 kg, an air cooled flat six weighs 162 kg. Not sure on the watercooled motor, but it\'ll be heavier. Coupled to the extra performance you\'ll magnify the effects of the inherent weight distribution bias.
OK... 911\'s havent been air cooled for 15 years but whatever. Mobile goal posts make for a pointless discussion. :)
Agree to disagree ;)
Here\'s the build http://m.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=815969
Regardless of all the weight distribution arguments, which come with v8 conversions FDs too, its still cool as hell and I bet it handles like a beast
My point being that power isn\'t everything, and infact is hardly anything if you cannot use it. Plus it\'s an aircooled shell, so the relative weight argument is valid, as is the average handling because that\'s the age of 911 that had the worst reputation for general exiting corners backwards through the nearest hedge.
2nd page 2nd post, 20B ~200lbs lighter Aparently

Look you, enough with your facts, they have no place on internet forums!

Oh right, thought you was being awkward. Lol.

Than the watercooled 3.8 Twin Turbo, which was never in the shell they\'re using.
I want a GT3 RS aren\'t they a 3.9 or 4.0 litre NA? The pinnacle of NA performance right now for such a smallish capacity?
701WHP at 16psi
The 997 GT3 RS is a 3.8 litre, there was a special edition GT3 RS 4.0 which is amazing but expensive. I haven\'t seen details of the 991 GT3 yet, but it\'s not going to use the same motor as the 997 GT3 which is a version of the Le Mans Motor from the 911 GT1 from 1996, they\'re a very tough motor.
Loving the Lotus and 20B 911 . Cool as . :yes
lots, lots of money went into that one....
