Saw an RX7 3rd gen for sale in my old mans classic car magazine.
the trader selling it had it marked as a \'Midnight Express\' model
200mph plus wide bodied type 1995/6
Selling price....................
Wait for it.......................
£33,500 (that was March issue)
now gone down to £27,000 in the april issue
is any RX7 really worth that much?

they have been trying to sell that in Classic & Sportscar for about 12 months! It\'s the mag it\'s in though, look at any of the classifieds and they are over priced by a factor of 2 normally!
Its been advertised there for years now. Rod Leeches Nostalgia. I suspect he should stick to his Cobras.
Its never going to sell at that price, definatly not without a spec too.
Hee hee,
I\'ve seen that too, ages ago.
Had (lotus) esprit stickers on it as i recall - nice touch!
I know the one, its been in Motorsport for over 18months now. It was £22k awhile ago, the proce just goes up and down....
Still you cant flaw the guys optimisum can you!
Sounds interesting. anyone got any pics? really 200mph? depends really, i saw a car that was VERY similar to roundabout_now\'s pink panther for sale for £30k+, billed as the UKs first 230mph car.
If claims like these are true, from a performance perspective these cars are quite bargainous! You\'re talking Zonda S+ pace for a tenth of the cost. Remember a 1000bhp R33 GT-R tuned by JUN that did 0-186 in 13 secs sell for £50k...
On a standard gearbox your would need about 9000 rpm to pull 200mph. I really cant see these cars doing it. Obviously an FD could get 200, but its going to need a LOT of work.
Also getting it, and being able to maintain the car and how long it lasts are very different!
