Hi all ,,, just to pick your brains ,, when I\'m drifting my abs drives me nuts , can I just pull the abs fuse out ? To take away the abs effect ? Cheers in advance :-)
I would imagine you could
Yup you could, but your rear wiper shares same fuse I believe. If its just a track car just remove whole system lol
Even if it\'s a road car te abs can be removed in no time it\'ll just unPlug the abs at te pump
Sounds good , cheers people ,,, I will just pull the fuse for now , I have removed the rear wiper/full delete / smooth tail gate so it shouldn\'t be an issue ,, I am gonna remove the abs system fully when I get chance I think , my car is a road legal(just about) so I gotta keep it reasonable but for how I drive the abs is more of a pain in the ass so when some ok ish weather comes I may get rid of the whole abs system ,,, cheers for the replys folks
There\'s ABS removal threads on here so you will have no problem! i pulled mine out with no problems anyway.
Just remember for the MOT you need to either have a fully working ABS system or no ABS system at all - that includes all pipes, sensors and looms etc
Tbh Mitch as long as the light isn\'t there the loom won\'t matter as it could be for anything but your correct about the sensors you should remove the and rings aswell but I didn\'t bother untill I had the hubs off when modding them on the first fc I had
Cheers people ,, will have a look at the abs removal link now ,just to note my car is an fd not sure if this makes much differents

Another bit of info that I\'m not sure about. Someone mentioned changing the master cylinder for a non abs one but I don\'t know much about it. I can say that I didn\'t change mine but I have had no problems with my brakes!

Cheers :) mate
The reason for changing the master cylinders is you usually find the abs master cylinder has 1 pipe for the front and 1 for te rear then the abs pump splits the front feed into two pipes
Whereas te non abs master cylinder has 2 pipes for the front and 1 for the rear which means you don\'t need too fit a t peice so you have a much neater install overall
Makes sense, Cheers the hat
