any recommendations / what would be the minimum amp required?

Snap On 1700..but its a bit pricy :god

Don\'t waste your money, I use a split charger to get the batty topped up, prevention is better than a cure

I have a basic bright yellow one from Halfords lol never really needed it as I had a Bosch S4 battery in the car, it would crank over the car even if the car had sat for a month.
