This event has come together very quickly!

It\'s being organised by Nick Dougill at Mazdaontrack, so you know you\'ll be well looked after

During the RX8OC Essex Meet last night a group of us decided we\'d start the year off by signing up for this day  :D

So, the list so far is;

I\'ve already paid NickD at Mazdaontrack  for these 9 places to ensure we get the discounted price. I\'ve also agreed with NickD to hold TWO further places for this weekend, in case the limited 20 places at £99 sell out.

SO, if you are interested in joining the above group and making this a great rotary day out, try booking on the website link above. If you get a place at £99 then great. If you don\'t, then PM me and the first two that do will get a £99 place.

For anyone new to trackdays and thinking of coming along, please do, this is a super price and you\'ll get great support from those of us who\'ve driven this circuit a lot, plus support from the Mazdaontrack team.

Less than three weeks to go, so time to start thinking about garages . At Brands, we usually manage to share a garage between three cars, unless you are Pukka, who needs a full garage for three sets of tyres, a full pit crew plus tools, microwave, kettle, wife, enough food and drink for all; oh, not forgetting his lovely RX-7 of course :mmmm;):)

Two cars can actually fit in a garage, but it\'s unlikely all 3 people sharing will need it at the same time and there is plenty of parking space either side of each drive-through garage.

So, the published price for each garage is £30, or £10 for a 1/3 share. There is no problem if people want a full garage or a half garage. I can do some match-making if you are on your own :Giggle We may get a small discount from Mazdontrack, but I won\'t know that until we know how many garages we need. Payment can be made on the day once sorted.

The advantage with me arranging this in advance is that we will get a block of adjacent garages reserved for us, so making it easier to socialise during the day, else we might end up scattered all over the place!

So on the list below, please state;
- if you have already paid for a garage when booking
- if you have booked and paid for a garage, whether you are happy to share with 1 or 2 others (I\'ll facilitate payments on the day if needed)
- if you\'ve made no arrangements (like me!) and need a full, third or half garage share

My car is prepped, cleaned and packed with most of the gear I\'m taking. Planning to get up at 5am :2eek tomorrow to drive down, aiming to get there between 7.00 and 7.30am.

A fantastic day, my first track experience in a car{I used to cycle race there in the 80s} And having started karting last year the bug has bitten big time, just need to find the next one for 99 quid!!

It was great to meet you Jon, and to see your yellow FB. Amazing to see two FB\'s on a trackday :) - you and Dave seemed to having a lot of fun out there on the circuit. They handled and drove incredibly well for 30 year old cars!!

I hope you can make it to another trackday soon when we can have a longer chat about your car.

Was good to meet  faces behind the forum names. And imagine that... a FB and SA at the same meet! You were all truly privileged to witness it! :)

Totally agreed, Big respect to the FB\'s they were looking fantastic out there :)
Sorry i didnt manage to catch up and put all names to faces, one gent in particular who i spoke to a few times and never got his forum name, think he was a FB owner :)

Had a quiet day work-wise, so slapped together a quick edit of all my track sessions, then edited it to show only clips of other rotaries on track (after the first few minutes - edit failure on my part  :oops: ). Also shows how the conditions changed from wet to dry  :D

Not terribly good quality as it\'s using my old Novus 640pixel camera.

Captured SteveG\'s little "wobble" on entry to Clearways in there too!

Extremely jealous. Noticed some wet on the track in the morning...so happier I wasn\'t there...my FD and wet do not mix !!

That was all caused by Fuel Cut Malcolm, i ended up a little sideways on clearways then the next corner had me almost broadside haha
Teach me to not occasionally look at my fuel gauge :rolleyes:
I did wonder why my last few lap times started to suffer, thaught i was loosing my bottle :rollin

Thx Chris - yep, sadly even two RX-8\'s ran into trouble at Brands this year :(
