Being made for the 50th year since the first rotary powered Mazda, the Cosmo.
:cool I\'ll start saving now then... just in case it\'s actually true (fingers crossed it is!)
I saw this on facebook, sounds good but probably best to wait for an \'official\' announcment from Mazda before getting too excited. Hard to know whats genuine and whats not now days.
Hope mazda don\'t build another FD .... too much of a Chevrolet/ford look alike.
if that\'s me designing of, go for a retro Rx3/ Rx7 FB into 21 century look.
A nice big 5.5" rev counter in the middle and oil pressure/temp is a must.
Already posted here. (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77988)
You\'ll never get something looking like an old school Mazda, they\'re not hampered by all the crash regulations that modern cars are, I reckon it\'ll be a more bulbous FD look without pop-ups. Either way, it\'s the way it drives that I\'m going to be interested in, won\'t have to worry what it looks like from the driver\'s seat.
Gonna dissagree Will, it has to be sexy.
It has to look good! The FD was all about style. A lot of us lost our lunch when we first saw the pics of the RX-01 concept and then the RX-8 that followed. We don\'t want another over styled disaster - where every curve, line, and angle is thrown in for good measure. Something resembling the original FD shape but with modern updating would be awesome.
