Title: 2000 Mazda RX7 FD3S Type-RB (£9,500)
Post by: DannyRX7 on November 01, 2012, 08:56:50 AM
Up for sale is my 2000 model Mazda RX7 FD3S Type-RB in Chaste white. This car was imported from Japan, purchased from Garage-R, through JM-Imports who shipped the Car to the UK for me. The car arrived in the UK (Tyneside docks) on 27th April 2011 with all legal paperwork completed by JM. I am the first UK owner of the car (bar the importer) with one previous owner in Japan. The car was not standard when I obtained it with the following mods added:
·         R-Magic N1 front bumper
·         R-Magic front wings
·         Side skirts (unknown make)
·         R-Magic polished intercooler pipes
·         Grounding Kit
·         R-Magic replica Type I bonnet
·         Paddle clutch (unknown make)
·         Titanium cat-back exhaust (very similar to Amuse R1 but not 100%)
·         Volk Racing SE-37 Bronze Alloys (Front: 17x8.5J, Rear: 17x9.5J with 114.5 pcd)
·         HKS Hipermax Pro coilovers
·         Momo steering wheel
·         Greddy Oil Temp, Oil Pressure and Water Temp gauges
·         JDM aftermarket stereo
·         Complete underseal on the bottom of the car
The mileage on the car was 54,210km on the clock (33,684 miles) when I picked it up, currently now on 64,000km. A km to Miles converter was installed along with a fog light and a delimiter to remove the JDM limits. I picked the car up from JM-Imports on 4th May 2011. Since then, I have added the following:
·         Cobra 4138 Cat 1 alarm (with certificate to prove) and tilt sensor (Anti-Hijack)
·         Apexi Power FC w/Commander (base map only)
·         Maxxis MA-Z1 rear tyres (255 40 R17)
I took the car to AtomicRex (11/11/11)to have the following done:
·         Powerflex Bush Kit
·         AtomicRex Anti-Roll bar
·         AtomicRex Pillowball Kit
·         Fuel Filter Change
·         Engine oil and filter change
·         Gearbox oil change
·         Diff Oil change
·         Brake Fluid (DOT6.1) change
Couple of bad points:
·         First time I took the car out in the wet, I went round a roundabout and slid on some oil on the road causing the back end to swing out. As a result, the front end hit the adjacent curb damaging the N/S of the front bumper and scuffing the N/S alloy. The alloy was ok enough to tidy up and still holds the bead. The front bumper was repaired and re-sprayed professionally. No other damage was sustained.
·         The alloys, due to being anodised, are stained with brake dust and have slight discolouration. With the correct chemicals, the staining could be removed.
I am sad to see this go but with a house purchase going ahead very soon, unfortunately the car has to go. The car starts hot and cold fine. The car has 4 months tax and 10 months MOT remaining. I think I have answered everything as much as possible and been honest where possible. If any questions arise, please email me; viva.la.dan.88@gmail.com (viva.la.dan.88@gmail.com) or phone me on 07817780020.
The car is currently located in Somerset.
Offers around £9,500.
