Title: HKS downpipe for single turbo
Post by: Ed_RX7 on July 18, 2004, 01:48:15 PM
I have noticed that there is a kink in my downpipe....seems pretty bad. Do you think this will affect performance a great deal...also can i get it bent back into shape or will i need to get a new one and if so from where?

So many questions!!!!!!

Cheers in advance

How bent is yours then Ed?? what did u do to it!?

Getting bits of kits is a pain in the arse usually I think.

As per wastegate gasket, try Andy at Sumo may be?

Pretty bent ...put it this way bent enough to move the exhaust system forward by about an inch which is causing blowing and all sorts......always been blowing since i got the turbo supplied and fitted....(second hand kits ..you have been warned)....not gonna bother pointing the finger at suppliers and stuff like that!!!....just want me car right!!!!!!!"!!!!!..........

Kinked at the top just at the bend before the turbo and also kinked just before the mid pipe......( the two weakest ponits)....need to decide if I should try and get a new one made...but aint got a cklue where to go...If they could get the kinks out that would be great...but knowing my luck I doubt it...any ideas geezer???!!!

Dealing with rob at sumo..........time consuming...need alternatives!

duh ! my bad it is for a single turbo i just read the title !

would it not weaken the metal if you got that downpipe fixed best thing to do is contact the supplier that sold it to you and get them to order a new one up .
(i think i may know who the supplier is)

GUYS,

Long story......we\'ll just have to wait and see...re the supplier...just trying to get prices first then i\'ll go back and see what happens....I\'m just trying to keep my cool at the moment...As I have a bit of a HULK temper...if you know what i mean......I\'m diplomatic to the last though!

I\'m sure it will all get sorted though. I have faith in the company I got the kit from or I would not have gone there in the first place.

Considering Finding out how much it would cost to get one made from scratch without the extra connections for the wastegate etc just all on one.

Shaq.....you think you know do you

I wouldn\'t want a scoody si hurley thing starting again
