Title: Mazda RX7 TYPE RS BLACK *rebuilt*
Post by: jamie c rs on October 20, 2012, 04:02:34 PM
Mazda RX7 Type RS 1996 twinturbo in BIack

Iam selling my mazda  rx7 rs that ive owned for about 2 weeks. basically i bought the car  before i sold my previous car (mazda rx8) and to be honest i prefer the  rx8 due to the fact that is better and smoother on the country roads  near to where i live.also iam 6ft 2" and its quite a challenge to drive!  the rx7 is faster and handles better but i just like the refinement and  room of the rx8. i bought the car from a mazdarotary club member.

right  where to begin, mileage 109,000. the car was imported into the country  in 2003. iam the 3rd owner since then. the previous owner before me had  the car for four years. there is a WEDGE of paper work and history that  came with the car. its been serviced almost religiously every 6 months.
The car was fully  rebuilt in 2007 by Rotechniks, with a bill for £5000.
this  included brand new rotor housings and rotors, all the gaskets, water  pump, etc. car has only done around 17k miles since rebuild. It was  compression tested only last year and the results were:
FRONT: 8.41 - 8.27 - 8.48
REAR: 8.61 - 8.41 - 8.75
This  just shows how strong this engine is. to get above 8.5bar is almost  unheard of. the engines condition is still basically brand new! the  ferosicity of the acceleration is amazing and both turbos are good also.  Car starts hot or cold first time. the bodywork is very good for the  age and it shines up well with a wash and polish. interior is also good  with nothing missing although the chubby box comes off sometimes. but  for a car thats 16 years old it is very good. always ran on 99+octane.  the only modification that i know of is the racing beat catback exhaust. really nice example of an old car a testament to the previous owner. car will have 12 months mot and tax till new year

i have priced the car at £4750 but iam open to sensible offers.
also i have the proof of compression test and rebuild included with paper work. can send pictures of these on request.

if you have any questions text or call 07850550767
Thanks for looking

This is my old car! Enjoy it - its a good one!! Let me know it you have any questions as I owned it for 4 years so its close to my heart.

I found a few other bits for it that I was going to send to Jamie, I have the Japanese owners manual and the original CD from New Era when it was imported - I\'ll have to get these sent to you.

Phil - I can\'t PM you, so am posting here.

It\'s really kind of you to offer to send on the original owners manual and import CD, and that way it can be kept together with the car. Do you have an email address I can contact you on to arrange?  (Mine is tomwestmacott at gmail dot com ).  Thanks a lot - much appreciated!

I\'m going to have to change the steering wheel and seats so that I can fit comfortably behind the wheel, but otherwise I\'m planning to keep it fairly much as-is.  The car clearly reflects your careful ownership, so I\'ll do my best to keep that up!  I\'m planning to return it to Super 7 for servicing, too.
