Title: drag auto transmission
Post by: colum on October 18, 2012, 09:29:41 AM
rotary specific ford AOD serious drag transmission, with transbrake, comes with b&m pro pistol shifter, ROTARY SPECIFIC torque converter,  flexplate, bellhousing, starter and propshaft yoke £1000\'s spent on  this.

alot better and easier to live with than the usual c4 units!

im now after £3k for all of this

the money spent on getting the converter stall (a few times) and transbrake done cost twice that so no sitting on the line for hours waiting for the stall to come up!
serious interest can email me for more info as im not on here often as you can tell

columchadwick at hotmail dot co dot uk

please note that it\'ll only work with 13bre and 20b plates because of the reverse starter

to wet your whistle, its the same trans as this

this also comes with an sfi approved scatter shield and flexplate shield, mandatory for anyone who wishes to race with it and 2 bits of very expensive metal made by hauser race cars at quite a cost to the previous owner as well as peace of mind for your legs

Doe sit have billet bits inside? standard or reverse shift pattern?
Title: drag auto transmission
Post by: colum on October 22, 2012, 11:24:17 AM
to be completely honest, i dont know. i know fduk all about autoboxes, its how i bought it and i have not  run it since i got the box off geff, you can get more info from geff at re:worx  if you like as it was out of his drag rx8, i can find out more for  you if you are genuinely interested Damon?

*edit* by reverse shift pattern you mean push forward for shifts yeah? first is at the bottom, second up one, third up 2, all ratcheted on the pistol grip so you cant go from first to third

Yeh just curious really as to what the box is full of as I wouldn’t mind throwing another auto in behind my 12at when I put it back together..
As for reverse pattern i mean the shift pattern is P-R-N-1-2-3 NOT P-R-N-3-2-1.. This is how my jatco is setup in my car back home – basically eliminates the factor of hitting reverse at 130-140mph across the line.

Post by: colum on October 22, 2012, 12:06:14 PM
you cant do that anyway because of the shifter
Title: drag auto transmission
Post by: 12at on October 22, 2012, 12:17:19 PM
yeh you can dude ive got a reverse pattern shift in mine .The pro ratchets are just a cable and a lever and selecting the next gear the shifter doesnt know if its 1st or 3rd after Neutral.

good luck with the sale anyways.. theres nothing like the feeling of 20psi and letting of the go go button :)

Post by: colum on October 22, 2012, 12:20:31 PM
im not going to argue with you about how your setup is better than this one dude, but honestly, if you manage to shift this thing into reverse even with the lock out race shifter, you shouldn\'t be behind the wheel :yes

anyone else interested?

im not comparing just asking what the box has in it  - good luck with the sale anyway
